This is my mantel this year , in years past it has been covered in nutcrackers, and all sorts of other things. this year I wanted to be more simple, although I always tend to keep adding things , so what starts out simple doesn't stay simple. There will also be 6 more stockings hung when I finish trimming them with lace for the girls and fringe for the boys.
This little Eskimo Legend was sent to me from a friend who is also a widow.
I thought it was sweet and saved it.
I tried to keep a neutral theme throughout the living room this year. Just shades of white with touches of pink and green , gold and silver

Sharon, this is so pretty. I love the way you used the windows and displayed the NOEL.
ReplyDeleteLeave it to you to do an "over the top," mantel.

I love your mantle! Using the windows and lighting are a fabulous idea!!! The Indian saying is really touching... Have you posted the mantle in other (non Christmas!) pictures? I just had mine painted and am looking for ideas!

I love what you did with the doilies! Your mantle is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found my blog & that you like it. I just posted a friend's house that you'll love. It's so funny because I have the K-Mart dishes (a little different from yours) & I use them every day since I purchased them (very durable). My husband died 2 yrs. ago in Jan. so also, unforunately, have that in common. I'm only at Leola's on Mon. but usually in & out on weekends so if you're coming, let me know & I'll try to be there. Thanks, again. Jan
