House Portraits

One of my neighbors stopped by a few weeks ago to ask me if I would do a drawing of her grandmother’s house , she had a photo taken not long before the house was torn down .

She had a lot of fond memories in this old house …
So I said I would give it a shot . I haven’t done many house portraits.
Here is the result .

I kinda like how it turned out.
It’s a little larger than I would have liked to have done , but she wanted it big enough to put at the top of the stairs .
What do you think ? Should  I do more of this kind of thing ?
Is anyone out there interested in a house portrait ?

  5. It looks beautiful. I would love one someday--just no money right now. What does something like that cost?

  6. Oh Sharon, it's beautiful! You really did a fabulous job. My husband had a house painting done for me some years ago and it has always been one of my favorite things. I think you should do more of these.
