Last week and this week I am taking care of my youngest grandson Reed , his daycare is closed for the month of July.
Here he is with the oldest grandson trying to keep cool yesterday in the kiddy pool.
However , today I had a day off, they are with the other Grandma and Grandpa for the day.
Since I had to go into town to the grocery store I decided to take some drive by photos of a few of the neat old homes there.
Click on the pictures for a closer look .
This is one of my favorites , It’s right next door to my Son and Daughter-in-law’s house .
Riverboat style .
Craftsmen style
Craftsmen bungalow , Could use a little color ( in my opinion ).
Queen Anne Victorian
This one is a Bed and Breakfast
Another Victorian
And another Victorian
Right across the street from the last one is this one, not living up to it’s full potential .
Just look at the detail that could be brought out with a little color.
This one is built with Arkansas stone , it’s big around here , and can be real pretty if done right like this one , but sometimes it can look awful . Kinda like giraffe skin .
Anyway these are just a few of the neat old homes in my home town.
I hope you enjoyed seeing them, it was fun getting out for a break , even if it was hot .
Have a great week !
I'm a sucker for a frilly, Victorian house. These are so beautiful! ~ Maureen
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful homes! All are so charming in their own way.
ReplyDeleteI love looking at houses... When we were kids, sometimes, and i'm sure this was my mom's idea, our whole family would pile in the car, and we'd drive around town, in Charlotte, NC, where i was raised, and look at houses, mostly in the rich neighborhoods...
