Little Pink Girls and Awards

Several years ago I worked in a gift shop , and you know how you do when you get an employee discount, You find yourself buying things that you might not have a use for , but because you think they are pretty or they might make a nice gift someday ,you start collecting something.

Such is the case with these little figurines.

They have been sitting in this corner cupboard in my guest bathroom for the last year.

Before that they were in their boxes packed away.

But now I'm thinking they need a little respect , they need to come out into the living room.Look how sweet they are !

They each speak of Spring .

With little touches of pink and roses.

Yep ! They are moving into the living room !

Don't you think so ?

Linking up with Beverly's Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound .

Today I was given the Liebster Blog Award by My sweet and highly talented blog friend Cindy from Cindy's Fractured Fairy tale .
She is a very talented artist , and craft person, and has a humorous outlook on life.
Thanks Cindy !

What is the Liebster Blog Award you say ?

Well it is an award created to recognize cool and amazing blogs with less than 100 followers.

The rules of the Liebster Award are as follows.

. It's an award handed over to your favorite 5 blogs that have less than 100 followers.

.The award is passed on to the five by commenting on their blog, telling them their blog is one of your favorites and that they have been chosen for the Liebster Blog Award.

.The one who receives the award post the links to the person who gave it to them and five of his/her favorite bloggers with less than 100 followers.

OK .. So here are my five favorites

1.My Country Heaven Cottage , Glenda Has three flea market booths and a gift shop with her daughter , and on top of that she is an artist too.

2.Look in the Nook Graphic Images , This is a companion blog to Jany's other blog Look in the Nook . You'll find all kinds of neat free images here. She also has links to lots of freebies and giveaways.

3. Down To The Darling Details , Angela is a wonderful photographer and paper craft artist.

4.Moore ( Gourd )Whimsies , Barbara is a fantastic gourd artist, and a fellow Arkansan.

I'll drop by and see the others too.

To answer your question about painting large pieces. I usually try to roll on the paint to get it started and then brush over top for a more textured look. It is all just a matter of what works best for you.

  12. Hi Sharon, thank you so much for your lovely comments. I have enjoyed visiting your blog, and love your artwork. I have also enjoyed viewing your posts, and love your inspiration pictures. I added you to my favorites, and will have to keep up with you. Sorry for the loss of your husband; I can't fathom the loss of your best friend. Blessings to you. Carrell
