Spring Mantel , New Mirror

A few weeks ago I found this mirror at one of the local thrift shops , I knew that with some white paint it was going to look great on my mantel .

I love it !

The birdies and the bunny are my nod to Spring .

We have had a few days that gave us a hint of spring , but the next few days are going to be more like winter even if the first day of spring is tomorrow .

Three weeks ago I bit the bullet and joined Weight Watchers online . I am down 4 pounds so it is heading in the right direction . Wish me luck , I’m tired of my clothes not fitting .

Look what I found at a garage sale last Saturday !

 

I got the lamp base for $3.00 . I had the lamp shade . I am going to add some white trim to the shade and some white chalk paint on the lamp base and distress it some so a little of the gold shows through .

( Pay no attention to the mess on that counter in my sun room .) I have been working out there , can you tell ?

Desk and Chair Project

Sorry it’s been so long since I last posted , time just seems to get away from me .

I finished the desk I was telling you about in my last post , here is the before…

I also refinished the small chair you see there . The bookcase I showed you last time was this same dark green that was popular 20 years ago or more .

Soooo , this is what they look like now !

I think they look beachy .

Here is a better picture of the little suitcase you see in the lower right corner .

I’m going to take all these down to our booth as soon as we get a little more room .  I’m hoping the oak table you see here will sell soon and open up a little more space .

We are trying to figure out how to get more stuff in there and still be able to walk in there and look around .

It’s a dilemma !
